Biography

Bryony completed her BSc in Biomedical Sciences (Physiology) at Cardiff University and her Research MPhil at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the UK. She has been working with the International Primate Heart Project since 2018 and has assisted in the health assessments of great apes in zoos across the UK and in African sanctuaries.

Current Research

Bryony’s research focuses on the evolution of the mammalian heart. Specifically, Bryony is interested in understanding the morphology and function of the great ape heart, to i) support the healthcare of this taxa, and ii) to gain insight into the evolution of the human heart.
