Biography

Alex originally hails from Mississauga, Ontario. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Master’s degree in Integrative Biosciences at The University of Western. Alex spends most of his time taking in the many views and activities Kelowna has to offer. He enjoys videogames, music, skiing, patio beers/G&Ts, and trees.

Current Research

Alex’s research focuses on examining the effect of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on upper and lower-limb muscles and nerves. Specifically, Alex aims to determine the impact of COPD on neuromuscular fatigue, neural excitability, and alterations to the corticospinal motor pathway in females and males.
