Centre Logo
The CHLVH icon is comprised of three constituent parts whose graphic forms are primarily used to represent the lungs, heart and brain — three interdependent systems and the Centre’s three chief areas of study.
The linear quality of the mark, and the use of red and blue, also appropriate the common diagrammatic language used when representing the arterial and venous circulations.
Although clearly separate, the three parts are integral to the whole unit. The red and blue sections feed into the central loop, which can be read as a point of transference and dissemination.
This is analogous on a number of levels:
- Firstly for the functions of the lungs, heart and brain;
- Secondly, for the purpose of the centre as a place where ideas and research from multiple research disciplines are brought together and shared;
- Thirdly, for the creation of links between the three partners of industry, community and university.
